Sunday is coming!

This “holy week” we look forward to Resurrection Sunday in hope. Each day between Tuesday and Saturday, we’ll have a new prayer suggestion to prepare you, your pastor, and your church for Easter Sunday.

Day 4: Pray that our hearts would be comforted by the love of Jesus this Good Friday.

Why did Jesus have to die on the cross? Your sin and mine. That is a somber reality. But why did he choose to come and die for us? Because he loves us more than we can imagine. Pray like this:

Father, my sin helped create the need for the cross, but your love sent Jesus to take my place. May I live humbly before you each day, knowing the reality of my rebellion. May I also rest in your amazing grace and love, as Jesus freely came to bring me forgiveness and life. Where my sin causes me sorrow, may your love bring me comfort. Amen.
